Potting
- 10-red line-up Place nine reds in a line from the blue spot to the black spot, and one between the black spot and the top cushion. Try to pot all 10 reds in a row.
- 15-red line-up Place all 15 reds in a line as shown in the layout. Pot red and colour alternately, then clear the colours. Track the total points scored.
- Black off the spot Pot the black and leave the cue ball in position for another black. Re-spot the black and repeat, potting as many blacks in a row as possible.
- Long pots from the D Ten reds are lined up across the table through the pink spot. With the cue ball in hand in the D, pot each red into the nearest top corner pocket. Score how many of the 10 you pot.
- Long straight blue Place the blue on its spot and the cue ball in a straight line with the blue and a bottom corner pocket. Pot the blue down the table, reset, and score how many of 10 attempts you pot.
- Pink off the spot Pot the pink from its spot and leave the cue ball in position for another pink. Re-spot the pink and repeat, potting as many pinks in a row as possible.
Break Building
- 24-point break on the blue Set up the balls as shown and try to make your first 24 break! If it gets easy, re-spot four reds and continue from wherever the cue ball finished to make an even higher break.
- 32-point break on the black Set up the balls as shown and try to make your first 32 break! If it gets easy, re-spot four reds and continue from wherever the cue ball finished to make an even higher break.
- Clock around the pink Place eight reds in a circle around the pink, with the pink and black on their spots. Pot red then pink or black until the reds are gone. Track total points.
- Colours clearance Place all six colours on their spots and start with the cue ball in hand in the D. Clear the colours in order from yellow to black. The maximum is 27.
- Last three colours Place the blue, pink and black on their spots and start with the cue ball in hand in the D. Pot blue, pink and black in order for a maximum of 18.
- Six reds and colours Place six reds around the pink and black and all colours on their spots. From the D, pot red then colour until the reds are gone, then clear the colours. The maximum is 75.
- Snake line-up Place 15 reds in a snake-shaped line from the blue towards the black, with all colours on their spots. Pot red then colour until the reds are gone, then clear the colours. Track total points.
- T routine Try to score as many points as possible, or even clear the table.
Technique
- Cue ball over the spots Place the cue ball on the brown spot. Play it straight up the table over the blue, pink and black spots, off the top cushion and back down over the spots. Score how many of 10 attempts stay on line.
- Screw-back ladder Place a red near the top-right corner pocket and the cue ball in a straight line behind it. Pot the red with screw so the cue ball comes back past its starting point. Move the cue ball further back after each success and score how many of 10 you make.
- Stop-shot ladder Place a red near the top-right corner pocket and the cue ball in a straight line behind it. Pot the red with a stop shot so the cue ball stops dead. Move the cue ball further back after each success and score how many stop shots you make out of 10.
- Straight blue Pot the blue into a middle pocket as straight as possible, leaving the cue ball in position for the blue into the opposite middle pocket. Track how many blues you pot in a row.
Safety
- Cue ball to the baulk cushion With the cue ball in the D, play it up the table off the top cushion and back down so it stops as close as possible to the baulk cushion. Score how many of 10 attempts finish within a ball's width of the cushion.
- Thin safety to baulk Place a red near the top of the table and the cue ball in the D. Play a thin contact on the red so the cue ball returns to baulk while the red stays near the top cushion. Score how many of 10 safeties are successful.
